I finally had a better grasp of how this texture mapping proceedure goes like. So I'm using the Unwrap UVW Mod and Textporter at the time.
The problem I have just now is that I made some planar maps yesterday, and today I realize I should have made them differentely, but I can't get rid of the old planar maps!
How do I effectevely remove unwanted Planar Maps and/or UVW cordinates?
I have already tried the following:
1. UVW Remove Mod
2. Convert my Editable Mesh to an Editable Poly and back
3. The best so far it's been simply select the vertices of the planar maps in the Unwrap UVW cordinates editor, and hit Delete. This erases the maps, but the map numbers still remain in the "Drop Down" list.
More over and more importantely, when creating new maps, they seem to get mixed with the previous ones. I noticed also that now Edit UVWs window shows me only vertices, in another words the lines connecting these vertices are not showing.

Any ideas and tips will be greatly appreciated at this point :)

We might need some images or something to further illustrate your point, I'm.. having some trouble keeping up with what it is you want.

It sounds like you want to change the way some faces are mapped, and, well, can't you "just" map them again? Select them, and hit Planar, and that's about it.. then you can move them around freely in the Edit UVW window.

Maybe you're getting UV channels confused with
Material IDs?

The extra verts are caused when you detach faces from a UV-d surface, then go into the Edit UVWs window. There is a tool in Chuggnut's unwraptools (http://www.chuggnut.com) called Clear Unused that removes these extra verts.

Thanks Posm & Gagle :)
I have had to backpedal a bit on this. I forgot to play with the plannar maps to fix the stretching and the like first. I noticed when I applied the checkered texture. For this I have another problem, but I guess I should create a new thread for it.

Thanks anyway for your help, it was certainly helpful ;)
