Hi,

I am experimenting with rigging right now. I came across the boxcontrollers. I mean every video, sample rig (which uses messiah) makes use of it.
Now I am woundering how to set those up from scratch.
I know when I am in Setup Mode and press F5 I have a panel where I can select boxcontroller and pop it onto the screen.

This out of the box controller adds also a cluster and a Morphblender to the items tree.
But I don't see this in my sample scene. I think this is made for morphing but I just want to blend bone positions. What I did is delete them....

then I looked in my script folder I have
boxcontroller
boxcontrollermulti
boxcontrollerquad

mk_boxcontroller
mk_boxcontrollermulti
mk_boxcontrollerquad

what is the difference especially the mk versions... I mean I can select them when I edit the Amarture...

Is there a way where I can add a plain boxcontroller just the Amarture or do I always need to go the way by hitting F5 drop it on the screen and deleten and edit everything like desired...

I would be great if someone could drop me some lines with background informations about ... boxcontrollers....

The mk ones were something you downloaded from one of my rigs probably,
They were written by marek schneider and add some functionality to the boxcontrollers.

You can save the box controller armature once you've edited it to work with the right script.
If you want to have one in the F5 panel, you have to right click the armature and add it to a group and save it as a setup under groups. Or you can just save the armature to a file using the file menu at top left of the armatures tab.

Yes, I got it from your rig... but I don't want to bother pm'ing you thats why I asked it public.
I will give it a try.
Thanks
