Here's a 3D short I recently finished. I made it with Maya and After Effects on a Mac G5.

Hope you enjoy! Would be interested in hearing any feedback.

Hey! Good idea, great way to showcase simulating weight in animation. The animation is a little stiff though, try to ease in ease out a little more. In some shots it will cut to a character, they will do an action, and then be still, stuck in a pose for a little while before you cut away, takes away from the life of the character. But the end was fun, I enjoyed it.

Hey William,

thats one sweet short film.
Clearly acted and a clear storyline throughout.
camera and timing felt pretty good as well.

how long did it take you to plan and animate this?

Thanks for your feedback, Michael. I have to say that the pose-to-pose style, using stillness for emphasis, was a choice I made, but that doesn't in any way negate your response. I'll have to experiment with a more fluid style next time.

Banshax, it took me about three months. I rendered it in HD so that slowed me down a tad.

I loved the use of action to show words. Good use of physics to create humor.
