neutronlabs 04-13-2003, 05:56 AM hi all, i need a help about unwarp on 3dmax
i try several times but i still can't get the right way to do it..
can anyone help by giving me a good tutorial or step for doing unwarp stuff?

I think there is good one in the doc (remember one with a old plane). Anyway, you can use the autoflaten function, or select yourself the faces you want and click "flatten" to apply different UVs to your mesh and then place the face on your map. Just give it a try, it's pretty simple, and so powerfull :beer:

i tried them already, 'n the last step is pretty simple, but a problem that i have is selecting a face what i want...
can anyone tell more about it? i need it in detail

and look for mapping or unwrap. You could also use the "search" feature on this forum's thread, as you'll find a lot more links to tuts and how-to's.

if its an object i take and select the faces i want off of it directly..then go into the editor and apply "flat" mapping for all of those selected faces only...and then i groupt them together and go to the next par i want of selected face..and so on...
