Title: The Sicilian
Name: Lee Davies
Country: Ireland
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush
Here is my tribute to the actor Christopher Walken; loosely based on the scene from True Romance (in which he plays Vincenzo Coccotti 'The Sicilian', opposite Dennis Hopper). He's a little older here than he was back then (partly as a result of the reference used, but also because I quite liked the craggier looking face. This project gave me the opportunity to try out a few new things (such as sub surface scattering skin and displacement mapping between zbrush and mental ray); I'm reasonably happy with the finished results and i certainly learned a lot in the process, so hopefully the next project shouldn't take half as long to complete. All comments and crits welcome

Great work!! I recognized him when I opened your thread instantly!
He (http://mvib.no.sapo.pt/walken.jpg) and Jon Voight have a similar scary look. I think you really nailed the
mouth look, amazing modeling and texturing :applause: I love the whole composition
with this dark and scary mood.

you've managed to pull of a good facial expresion. i'd like to say that it's full of emotion, but in this case it's the opposite actually :) . stone cold killer doing his everyday work! nice!
but i must say that the over-glossy look of that tie and the scarf takes away the center of the image and draws to much attention to them. ****

I love characters in the genre you created. And yes, I could tell the Christopher Walken as soon as I saw it swell. Just wondering, what’s with the skinny body and head. Just wondering, doesn’t look bad just struck me as odd.

Ha!ha!ha! so funny!:applause:
You really got some crazy gifts to caricature! It almost take me few seconds to recognize C Walken, but that hime, no doub't!
Only (very very little) crits will be the curious lighning on the gun, don't understand from where it come...but i guess that without it we can't see the gun...
I'll give you five stars!:)

There is probably too much sheen on the tie and scarf compared to the rest of the image. Great tribute to a great actor. 5* :)
When I saw the picture for the first time, I immediately recognized him without reading your comments. Good job.
