Title: Deceived by a dream
Name: Anand Halbhavi
Country: India
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Hi everyone this is my latest painting . well as you can see its a concept of this lady who is deceived by some one very close to her causing her to loose the will to live and decides to end her life by cutting her wrist. Her fate is so miserable that even God himself felt sympathy for her and sent his most loyal servants Youta(sun) who is the golden bird and Yuzuki(moon) the silver bird to help her. In this Yuzuki will guide her spirit to heaven and Youta will transport and deliver her life force to her by drinking her blood in order to provide her the strength to carry on in the after life. this concept of 2 soul theory(spirit and life force) i have read somewhere i cant remember now but found it interesting so thought to depict it here.. I have used references only for the cloth pattern and designs. It was started in painter and completed in photoshop. The original size of the painting is 2148*1747 had to resize to 1600*1301 to fit in. Hope you like it.
Comments and Critics welcome as always :)

Anand,

Nice work on your background elements. I especially like the pillow with the Dragon and Phoenix - beautifully done. The lighting on the two "birds" is really nice. I like how you've achieved the glow on them. One area you might want to work on though is the girl's hair. It looks a little stiff.

In general, I really like the mood that you've captured with this painting. Keep up the good work!
