View Full Version : 3d Still:head
icr82nz 04-13-2003, 02:02 AM this is my best head so far, but, i am running into problems now. iwould like some ideas on what i could do to clean up my poly count or whatever will make it look better. i have to fix the way too round face still, but i have encountered a situation. as i move the control mesh(2 iterations ) to fix certain spots i end up moving other verts. i have ignore backfacing on, i have also turned my model so there was nothing behind it. for example i was moving the eye lids and when i had them good, i rendered and all of a sudden my perfect mouth is all messed up??????

Did you use reference for your head? It might help you get to what you want. Also, what is the style you're going after? Realistic? Cartoon? Stylized?
I would say you have to keep tweaking

Trying not to be too harsh, i think you need to scrap it and start again. What software are you using? There are plenty of tutorials out there now to help you out when building a head. You also need to look at reference and also look in the mirror to see how heads are shaped.
Tell us what software you are using and people could point you towards the appropriate tutorials:thumbsup:
