Hi, could you people that use subds please post your workflow for uv mapping them in Maya4.
I just can't get it, some people says that you should uv map the polygon proxy but that doesn’t work for me.
Mapping the subd surface directly does work but that only gives you planar and auto mapping.
Are there any smart tricks or am I just doing something wrong.

I have textured several subd models and I like just planar mapping the crap out of it then messing with the UV's in the UV editor..It takes a lot of tweaking to get it to look right though..
