This a charicature of the new Doctor Who, David Tennant. I attempted to bring accross the Doctor's youthful wisdom.

I use mostly the square hard pastels in Painter X. By varying the resat, opacity and grain settings pastels can feel either very dry and dusty or soft and oily. For the initial sketch I used pencil variant I created.

I love it, nice and loose, background could be better, but im not bothered by it.
Thanks for telling us the brushes you used, It helps alot to know what medium the image was painted in and what brushes were used.

Hertzchim, thank you and everybody for the kind words. How might one make themselves known to magazine commissioning editors? I love to get proffessional work like this, but I don't know the proper channels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
