What is missing from modern tools?
For a while I thought that we needed a decent normal map painter but everyone seems to be moving away from 2D painting into 3D sculpting. I'm curious if there's any other stand alone (specialized) tool that you wish you had like the MudBoxs, Z-brushes in the world or even CrazyBumps.
I use this tool to free up my work machine by batching stuff on some other workhorse PC on my network. I also do normal map builds over night or sometimes it's just plain faster than other normal mappers. http://www.inlandstudios.com/products.html but that's about it.
What other non-mainstream apps are you guys using out there?
