View Full Version : Fracture Object and shading problems

I have 10 splines (from illustrator) placed into an Extrude NURBS object which is then placed into a Fracture Object. Works great (especially with the Random Effector) except I'm getting some very crazy shading artifacts when I apply a material to Fracture. The specular channel seems to do the most damage.

What might cause this and is there a work around?

found somewhat of a fix. I lowered the phong tag angle to 8 degrees. 1 degree less and I get faceting on the curved surfaces, 1 degree more and I get faceting on the flat faces. Something still doesn't feel right but at least it's working for now.
