Hey i've been screwing around with modeling for the last few years, but typically give up because of lack of time. I have had some time in the last week so I've been screwing around with a copy of Max9 a buddy of mine gave to me since he goes to the local university and got a copy for extremely cheap, he ended up dropping out of the class so he had no need for it.
Here is what I have, Mario:

I've been screwing around with a Mario model and would just like a few tips to get me going in the right directions. I start out as a box and did the boot, then removed the top poly and start extruding the loop of edges from the removed poly. This method seems to have gotten me going alot further then just straight up box modeling ever did, evn though it's basically the same.
What should I be doing for the arm, his stomach and head? I'm modeling the hand seperately, so should I try this with the head? Any tips, suggestions would be greatly appretiated.
