Hey Guys!
Well im new here :) My names Adam and ive bin interested in 3D since i was 14, i tried Cinema 4d back then but the modelling tools didnt seem up to scratch, i still loved the program!
3 Years later ive come back to 3d (i found it too stressfull at that age) and i tried Cinema 4d 8 out, i am shocked! its got so much better!! I like Cinema 4D becuase it isnt THE most popular app, and allot of people doubt it! I hope one day i can prove them wrong!
Anyway heres my first model! I done it useing poly modelling (new for me) Its only a practise, its not supposed to be perfect, although it would have been nice! ;)
Anyway please let me know where im going wrong (if i am), how i could improve...and what u think!
I aim to be the next big thing in 3D, so watch out! lol :wavey:

head is quite ok!
the polys are clean and clearly arranged
when u use symetry for modelling u should turn up the tolerance (in the attribute window of the symetry object) up to 1m or something
this will weld the intersecting points together
- no scarface :)

great work so far nice intro, anotehr ting is to make sure your symmetry is child of the hypernurbs and not the other way round :)

wow dude, for the first model you've made...that's quite impressive.
I don't understand how people make faces. Block modeling is hard as f:shame:k so i steer away from it. And i can't find any decent tutorials on it. :hmm:
Anyways, nice start man.
heads are hard as hell even if you are a pro(which I am not). but if you want good tutorials check out the sub forum with the tutorials. there is a good one on maxons website and another kickass one on creative cow. the one on creative cow explains what poly modeling is, and how its done with C4d.
you might wanna check this stuff out.

Great start!
It looks like your hierarchy is wrong, though. If I'm not mistaken, your modeling hierarchy is something like this:
Symmetry
-Hypernurbs
--Mesh
When it should be:
Hypernurbs
-Symmetry
--Mesh
This will eliminate the seam down the center of your face.
If this is not the case, then you need to use the "Set value" function to set the x-coordinate of all the centerline points to 0 in the x axis.
