View Full Version : Snap to Grid when using Cut Faces

I seem unable to Snap the "knife" from the Cut Faces tool to the grid \=
Is it possible?

doesn't look to be the case, but if you could, it'd save me a lot of time with what i'm doing now. currently, i have to type it in manually.

Try to cut in a orthographic(sp?) view
I encountered the same problems - why A|W didnt enable snapping for this tool is beyond me...

If you use the cut multiple faces tool, you can hold down shift and it constrains it to a 90/45/180 angle. Then you can at least get it very close (close enough that you'll never know the difference.

yep, most of those approaches work for the straight forward situations.
without the cut face tool snapping to the grid, perhaps the next best thing would to be a way to have it round off the values to the closest whole number in the spread sheet editor for a selected column.
