maxmare 04-12-2003, 10:38 AM This is the one of the first heads I have ever modeled. The scene was created for the last 3dLuvr competition. Comments and critique are wellcome as usual,

Thanks for the comments. I know the textures could be improved greatly, and that will be so in the next models. Is my first textured head anyway and I am humble.
txs.

Medusa is my favourite mythological character ever. I see you have gone for the "Tusk" look...very close to the actual myth.
Not quite front-page, but bloody close!
BTW, me, FallenSwordsman & samartin are having a meet-up at centerpoint in London on 31st May(2003!)...interested?

Looks fantastic. If I had to critique something, I would say that the shield laying on the ground is a bit too clean and shiney. Everything else in the scene has a very old and tarnished look, but the shield just kinda stands out.
Awesome scene.

Purely awesome. It does look however that some snakes go through eachother. How long did it take?

Excellent image - I can't really add anything apart from what has already been said about the textures (the blood and shield both stand out for me as elements that could do with a bit of work) but the scene itself and the whole feel of it is very well done:)

Loks "nice". The putrefactive nose is great. Although as already mentioned a bit "plastic".

Thanks for the comments,
kRabATh & CGMonkey: the skin looks like plastic because I relied on the default shader at 50% instead of applying bitmaps to all channels at 100%. A mistake it will never happen again I guess.
FallenSwordsman & D_Nice: Point taken, I will change both thing in the future.
Boone: Yeah, interested. Centerpoint at oxfordst/tot court road??
As I said it was done for the 3DLuvr competition, so that's six weeks (other than office hours that is)
Again, much appeciated!
