View Full Version : Character: Penguin
Mickey 04-12-2003, 03:18 AM Hey, this is a character I made over spring break. I have pretty much finished modelling and I wanted to get some opinions on it before I started texturing. Any critiques and comments are welcome.

overall i like it...the back seem too "straight" in a linear kind of way, but it might be just me...

Buggy166 - Could you elaborate a little on his back being to straight...do you want it to curve inward or outward more?
CgTalk member - Do you really think he looks to much like the Linux penguin. I wasn't aiming for him at all...mine is going to do snowboarding. I'm thinking the photographer that will follow him around will be an Arctic Lemming. I plan on animating him very spaztic like Scrat. My plan is to have them star in a short together.
I will texture soon, please keep comments coming...

K, I made the change to his back as you said Buggy166, tell me what you think... One of my friends also said I should try making his toes sharper so I did that as well. I'm thinking of making him a little thinner up front...
Keep the comments coming.

Which parts do you mean, specifically? The head to body? or the body to feet? Should I blend the feet into the body more?

no..i meant the back..if you loook carefully from the side you can see a small "spike" or segment like portion where its not really rounded..see that?
