Ha, this was being filmed right next to my work all summer.
Looks rather dull though.....from the trailer it seems like they tried to make "Angelina Jolie: The Matrix".

Man, looks like they cut out all the stuff that was cool about the original, although that may be a twist reveal at the end.
For those not in the know, Wanted was a 6-issue comic series written by Mark Millar. It's got the vibe of Fight Club, but with less taste, and more superheroes. The comic was clearly written with specific actors in mind for each character, which they have completely ignored in the actual filming. Specifically, Angelina Jolie's character was Halle Berry, and the main character was Eminem.
Yeah, sounds weird. It was a pretty decent little comic, although nothing groundbreaking. However, given their proclivity for making mediocre comics into movies *cough30daysofnightcough300coughhistoryofviolencecough*, I'm not surprised.
If you're curious, you can find some scans of the original here:

Beware, it may contain spoilers, although this movie seems like a large deviation from the source.

Its a shame, going by that trailer they really destroyed what the comic was. I hope I m proved wrong. So far not so good.

Since I don't know the comic, this looks like fun (though agreed on not special)
at least it's got morgan freeman who's got a cool voice. :)

Seriously, if you are going to butcher the comic so badly, why even bother. Not that Wanted was that amazing, but it was a very solidly written comic with a definite story.

I hear this was shot with the new RED digital camera. If so, it's pretty damn impressive. Didn't look digital at all.

Some of the FX plates were shot with a RED ONE, however the majority of the film was shot on film I believe.

LOL angelina's face at the start when she pushes him aside is so HaRdC0r3!!11!!
Some awesome vfx on a pretty retarded looking film. Looks like its aimed at the hyperactive and not too discerning 13-15yo market. I'll see it lol, but looks like a rental to me.

Meh...the best part is the little blurb about people being sheep. I've thought that way to often.

I know nothing about the comic(didnt even know there was one) but this looks like a blatant rip off of the Matrix(even though that was a rip on other various works). This trailer was truely awful and I am surprised to see a fine young actor like James McAvoy signing up for crap like this. I'll be passing it up along with I AM LEGEND.

30 Days of Night was a mediocre comic??? Didn't it win numerous awards and is single handely to have known to revive the horror genre of comics?? I know it was one of the best comics.

That looked terrible as terrible can be.
Just shooting around that piece of meat to hit the target showed me everything I needed to know.
After watching this I don't feel like seeing the movie, nor reading the comic book.

Hell if I know. All I know's that I read it and thought it was subpar garbage with an interesting premise that they thoroughly squandered.
