View Full Version : Problems Exporting C4D Camera to AECS3
nimpsy 10-30-2007, 08:29 PM Are there any others out there experiencing this?
I output an .aec file from Cinema4D (10.5) and when I try to import in to After Effects CS3 (8.0.1) it crashes. And I have been using the latest Exchange plugin.
I've tried removing lights, nothing helps. Anyone having the same problems? Any ideas? Is it possible this is a bug?

Sometimes, but only if it's a lot of frames, like over 3,000. Otherwise, the exchange works fine.
It's a lot of data for AE to chew on. If you get a beachball, wait awhile, go get something from the fridge, read an article in 3DAttack... ;)

Believe me, I don't mind waiting. I'm used to it. It's just that the crash is instantaneous.
I've even reinstalled C4D back to version 10.111 and I still get those crashes. However, I can open my .aec files in After Effects 7. I don't knnow what the heck is going on.
At least I found a workaround...for now.
