BC1967 04-12-2003, 01:29 AM This started off with just the mountians, but, it was suggested that I add something more to round out the composition.

Nifty!
I am wondering, though... why is that piece of metal sticking up like that? What was it shaped like before the wreck, and what broke it? You have nice burn marks around the holes in it, yet no sign of burns, cracks, bent metal, or anything else along the edges of the chunk itself, no trace of how it broke. It's too clean, like something just sliced it off.

Thanks, My thoughts on that big piece is that it was an extrusion on the hull of the ship. Maybe a sensor pod, but as this ship wasn't capable of atmospheric flight it snapped off during re-entry and landed along the swath of wreckage intact, save for the blast scars from the confrontation that brought it down in the first place.
I was thinking of adding some detail to the center piece of the wreck ( that oblong piece buried in the snow ), an open hatch spilling a soft light onto the snow, footprints leading away from it. Going over the ridge and into the foreground.
