View Full Version : Textures turn transparent?
Shaykai 04-11-2003, 11:00 PM I'm having quite the problem. It usually happens when i'm texturing a lot of stuff in a scene, when i bevel something and then try and texture it with a file texture, it turns semi-transparent with grey lines going through it diagonally. If you need i can post a screenshot. Does anyone know why this is happening? Can anyone tell my how to fix it? Thanks.

Are you using any textures that have an alpha channel? If you don't need the alpha channel, redo the images without one.
Or if you need the alpha channel. Did you make the images in photoshop. There is a bug in PS 7 where if you save a targa it saves it in a wierd format. Getting the PS 7.01 update will fix this.

Your poly object has lost its uv's when you bevelled it. Create some uv's again (try the polygons->texture->auto uv for starters), all should be good.
Oh, and send in a bug report to AW asking them to fix the poly bevel tool...
