Just curious if anyone else wants this.

Being able to select only points is a bit irritating so i was wondering if enabling face and edge select woud be a) possible b) popular enough to warrant programming. ( i dont know how to program so its not like i'm volunteering to do so)

Oh and what about having tweak permanently on? Switching back and forth seems odd.

Edge and face select are available in the Tweak_s plugin by clacos.

Other features in this plug include:
Axis / 2d plane constraints (temporary axis constraint also available)
Multiple element selection
Geometry masking (locking)

I put a brief synopsis of this plug in one of the other (recent) threads here (can't remember which :) )

Disagree with it being permantly on - but that's just imo :)

Why hasnt the Clacos plugin been incorporated?

Vecause all of Clacos' plugins are still WIP AFAIK

Dont want to bump this up anymore :D so im going to kill the poll since it really serves no purpose anyway with the plugins providing that and all

Now with the multiple geo-types in tweak it gets frustrating. When the edge/point you wanna move is very small, selecting it to tweak is a real pain! Wouldn't it be much easier if you could only tweak one type at a time? You know, like press 1 for points, 2 for edges, and 3 for polys?
