3D Buzz today announced its next Live Radio Show, scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 2003 at 10:00 am, CST! Read the official press release below from Jason Busby himself.

==============================================
The next 3D Buzz Live Radio Show is coming! Once again, we are bringing 3D artists from around the world to you from all aspects of the 3D industries. This show is going to be very special in that we are having THREE special guests! Each will be interviewed by 3D Buzz, and we will open the phone lines on each so that you can ask them your questions or give comments!

We will begin the show with two very talented artists. First, we will be joined by the highly experienced CG artist, Steven Stahlberg. Many of you know Stahlberg's incredible work from his sci-fi and human figure pieces. You can check out his website www.androidblues.com! Also joining us will be Pete Draper, freelance 3D artist and highly published writer. He currently does many of the 3ds max tutorials found in 3D World Magazine. You can find out more about him on his website by clicking
www.xenomorphic.co.uk!

Starting this week, the 3D Buzz Live Radio Show is offering a new feature, in which we will be inviting guests from other large 3D websites to come on the show and talk to us about their site! This week, we will be joined by Tito A. Belgrave, Director of Community Development and administrator of CGTalk (www.cgtalk.com), and 3D Festival (www.3dfestival.com)! Tito will be coming on to talk about the growth of CGTalk, the CGChallenges available at the site, some of the issues involving "Server Busy" messages, and the upcoming 3D Festival Event! You can find out more about Tito and his work at his website www.eyecandystudios.net!

This is shaping up to be a COLOSSAL show, so be sure not to miss out! The show goes live on Sunday, April 13 at 10:00 am, CST. Check your local time zones for your time!
==============================================

Hope you all tune in :)

Many thanks to Tito for the news post as well as agreeing to join in for the show. Should be a ton of fun and with you along with Steven and Pete it should turn into one long, fun crazy time…like usual :P

For those needing more info on how to connect and such you can check > THIS THREAD < (http://sv2.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27780) on 3dbuzz.com

You should be able to tune in from anywhere in the world, depending on your connection I assume, and when Buzz opens up the phone lines you can also call from anywhere to ask questions and such…although I’m sure it can get quite expensive to call form some parts of the world heh.

Thanks again Tito, can’t wait for the fun :).

*EDIT: for those needing help converting timezones this site seems to be pretty helpful :): http://www.whattimeisit.com/cgitime.exe?Mode=FullList

I still can't figure out the correct time. The world time sites usually list in cities, not time zones. And daylight savings time has been put into effect in those areas that observe it.

So do we have:

CST = Central Standard Time (Standard time (GMT) - 6Hours) *this was the listing in the annoucment
CDT = Central Daylight Time (GMT - 5hours)

or what?? :insane:

I wish that time was listed in GMT or UTC or even one of those funky internet time things. The translation would be a snap.

Help please! I think it's at 11AM Eastern but I'm not sure now...

Demondo

11 eastern would be right. :)

Demondo

You'll see a link to it in "Buzz Updates" (at the top of any thread on 3dbuzz.com) once it is uploaded. As of yet, it had not been uploaded.

Yeah a great show.. and now even a tv-channel? woa.. they're expanding fast!!

Demondo
04-15-2003, 01:36 AM
Heh, no not a TV channel. Although they have one at the school where Buzz teaches. But a "TV show" basically think a regular TV show but you'll download it from the site every X amount of time. (Not sure how often Buzz will end up making it.)

Scilynt
04-17-2003, 02:36 AM
Alright guys it's up :)

But since it was a long show and a huge file it has been separated into three parts which are also conveniently separated at each interview :)...

> PART 1 < (http://dl1.3dbuzz.com/download/3DBuzzRadio_Apr13-p1.mp3) (Steven Stahlberg)

> PART 2 < (http://dl1.3dbuzz.com/download/3DBuzzRadio_Apr13-p2.mp3) (Peter Draper)

> PART 3 < (http://dl1.3dbuzz.com/download/3DBuzzRadio_Apr13-p3.mp3) (Tito Belgrave)

Just right-click and "save as" and enjoy :). Thanks too all the great guest again :)

Damn, I just listened to myself... Rambling, halting, too quiet - not too bad at first but it just keeps getting worse and worse. Great if you suffer from insomnia. Sorry about that, guys. (Someone should have told me to speak up!) I'll drink more coffee next time. :)

The 3dbuzz guys on the other hand are just amazing, as usual. Right now I'm listening to Peter - very interesting.

lol, you guys are all way too self critical...Although you guys might have sounded better if you sang :p

But I'm the same way. When I called in and then later listened to it I sounds pretty cheesy heh...kinda like seeing a bad photo of yourself posted :hmm:

You guys all did an awesome job and all of you were very interesting to listen to! I mean I don't think many other groups of people could make 5+ hours fun and interesting the whole time :)

Steven and Pete, be sure to keep us updated on any developements on your respective "courses" :)

Thanks again guys

What are you guys talking about?? :D Man - Steven, Pete, and Tito, you guys ROCKED! I can't thank each of you enough! I loved every bit of airtime with you... and I hope that you will all be up for doing it again in the future.

Trust me... I CANNOT listen to a VTM or the radio show after we have recorded it - I sound AWEFUL!!!!! :)

Sorry for the delay in getting the files live. This week has been CRAZY busy... Epic Games is about to do some crazy things to my schedule, and I'm just trying to get prepared... shhhhh... you didn't hear that from me ;)
