Hi all,
The old TP noob questions. Studying the manual and done a few tuts, gone through all of Sreks great site. Excellent resource, but couldn't find a solution to my problem.
I'm currently trying to find a solution to a treatment I'm trying to put together.
Basically, it's a video wall that breaks up into particles and the particles fly away, then flock to form another object. I know PBlurb can do the reforming morph, but I don't know how to break up from one shape then manipulate them on a flight path naturally, and them flock them together and morph them into another shape.
I have a plane 1280 x 720. I have an image sequence texture mapped to the plane. (My video wall)
1. How do I break up the screen into 32 x 18 particles and control them via TP? (Keeping the texture of the video wall mapped onto them.)
Now, I've got the particle flying away motion with TP. Very simple, yet I've used a standard null emitter With a particle target that I have animated.
2. I should be able to figure out how to control the particles from the wall and manipulate them as I have done with my Null emitter. How can I then manipulte those particles so that they flock together and form the same wall again ( or another shape)?
Any suggestions or pointers on how I should go about solving this would be greatly appreciated.
I would love to get my hands on a TP training DVD. Are there any out there?
Thanks
Steve
