Ok, this where i am : i ve got 4 xeons ( socket 604 ), 2 : 3.06 ghz and 2 : 2.4 ghz; 4 gb of ram and a quadro fx 4000 AGP. I want to build a workstation with two of the cpus and a rack render/server with the 2 others. where do i have to with the mobo ? Tyan ? Supermicro ?
Well i m a little lost because there is so many options...well any advice is welcome.

ps : It's for compositing and 3d. I might want very fast hdd access cuz i might i have assimilate scratch installed on it for 4k redcode color grading ( from the new red camera ~22mbits/s).

Supermicro and Tyan would be the best yes. I don't know if the vid card is pcie or apg but you will need a workstation board with whatever slot. As for the server that is different. You can use a server board with PCIx and PCI slots. One having a 8meg onboard video. As for this kit it is old. Those procs are nice as they are faster then anything that I have but still. Old. You will get better perf out of intel core 2 duo/quad stuff. also if you want there is a dual cpu forum. forums.2cpu.com. Happy learning.
