Hi

is it possible to link up a particle emitter to a obj.id or point help node with obj.id? any help or links to tutorials etc wold be highly appreciated

What do you mean by obj.id? Do you mean the Object ID gbuffer channel? If so you can kind of using Show Gbuffer and the tracker.

yes sorry for being not so precise, yes I meant the Object ID in the gbuffer(in teh .rpf frame), sorry for confusion, I mix em up name's in 3dsmax(obj id) with the combust name(obj id gbuffer)

will try and see if I'm brave enough to give the tracker and show g-buffer a go

The thing is that all gbuffer channels are are images and most id channels use unique colors to the specified id. At some point I need to finish my export to Combustion maxscript, but that involves me having freetime. Though it still requires alot of development and testing on my end, so don't expect anything any time soon.
