This looks great, I can't wait to see it! I wish there were more animated films made by small groups of independent artists like these guys. I hope this exposure leads to some funding for this project.
And great interview Tito!

IG = Iron Giant, one of the most well animated well acted well designed and wel written animated films, it also has some of the best 3D/2D integration to date. Man what a film. Just out of curiosity, Bentllama did you ever seen Cats don't dance? Done by a lot of the same crew, while the sotry wasn't as good, and many don't like it because its a musical (a good musical though) Its also one of the best animated filims out there too, Darla Dimple is IMO one of the best animated characters ever. They knew what they were doing thats for sure.

Thanks for the heads up, hadn't heard about this. Downloading the trailer as i type.
Yes, the Iron Giant is one of my favourite animated movies. Not just because of it's great story and animation, but for it's powerful message. The ability to choose who we are is one of my mantras.

What a great pleasure to read this interview. I'm looking forward to see this movie in theater. I'm really fond of children story movies, when i saw this trailer i felt in love with the characters, the colors and the story. It looks simply great!
Kaiskai, Nahaz>> I totaly agree with you, IG is a beautiful movie one of my favorite ones.
So I hope they'll get the necessary funding to achieve their beautiful dream.

I have seen Cat's Dont' Dance...about 64 million times... ;)
I own the film and await for people to release it to DVD...if that ever happens. Also, an IG extended special edition, additional footage [read: gimme some pencil tests] DVD is awaited too... ;)
I astually push the both films on whomever I meet, trying to get them the wider audience both deserve.
EDIT:
AND CHECK THIS PAGE OUT IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT YET...
...great resource...thanks for posting it Adrian!

Man you and I really need to get together some time, I have all those pencil tests downloaded. And tonnes of model sheets from cats don't dance that I acquired when I discovered the link to this site. I love the fact that they have Frank and Ollie as the train engineers, wahta tribute to two of the greatest animators, and how fitting considering their history and passion for trains :) Ifelt folish at first when I saw IG for the first time in theatres, and I thought they were sort of frank an ollie, but figured it couldn't have been since they aren't a disney studio, but its a dedication to two artists and their work not the company.
Oh, and you know the CDD DVD will be out on may 3, assuming it doesn't get pushed back yet again.
A few of the designers and such from Turner/WB were picked up by Pixar I believe to work on Monsters inc.

Look at this little guys, they are so sweet. Man that style they use to draw this little chracters is great. And the idea of the whole movie is great. I hope they find some funding for this project.
:applause:
