I modeled a plane, and the entire body, wings etc. come up fine in the texture editor. However, when I select the entire plane in the camera view, the plane body and wings, flaps (which are merged to the plane) all become highlighted with the typical look of the points being blue colored in the texture editor. All the others items, propeller, nose, wheels, cockpit, windshield - their meshes in the editor are gray. These items were all made with symmetrizing polygons and are their own objects and are not merged to the plane.
Also, I can only select these meshes one at a time in the editor and all other meshes disappear while I am laying them out in the nopic icon window. Therefore I cannot see where one item should be place as the other items are not seen.
I have a series of 8 small cylinders on each side of the nose that represents the exhaust. I made one cylinder, duplicated it 7 times, layed it out as needed then symmetrized them to the other side. When I tried to do a uv layout for these, I can only get one of them at a time to show up in the editor window. I want to apply one sub-projection for all of these but can only select one of these meshes at a time- even if I shift select the whole lot. Only one meshe allows me to edit the uv points. The others remain grayed out unless i select one of them only.
I selected the show all option in the editor but it does not affect this particular circumstance.
Hope you can understand what I am saying- any ideas on what to do?
Thanks,
Laurie
