View Full Version : Mental Ray artifacts?

Hey , can some one help me out here....Recently upon buying a new workstation and upgrading to maya 8.5 I tried to take a mecanical character from an older ver of maya5 I created a few years back . All seems good however upon rendering with MR and final gather Im noticing blocks of white areas. At first I thought it was my UV maps so I checked those.All good.Then I checked the normals.All good.Anyone have any answers?

Documentation seems vague?

Side note is it just me but since Autodesk aquired alias does it not seem the documentation is becoming more technical and vague? Just an observation.

Any help would be appreciated,
