View Full Version : Layers?
Maya Ayanami 04-11-2003, 03:33 AM How can I remove just the selected object from a layer.
because whenever I do a duplicate of an object that is in a layer maya automatically puts the duplicated object in that same layer.
but I dont want in a layer. and I always have to remove everything from the layer and then add the original stuff back to that layer. it is a real pain.

as far as I know you can't remove just ONE object from a layer, you can only remove all objects. Its annoying but I haven't been able to remove just a selected object from a layer.
I think thats how it is anyways.. anyone know different?

Layers->Remove Selected Object(s) from Layers
or just put it into a new one (a default layer you created)

hmm that didn't work for me.. I dont have a remove selected objects, just a remove objects and then a separate select objects.
however i found if you right click a layer and go to membership you can remove certain objects there in the relationship editor.
