View Full Version : Why is my CPU running at only 39%?

I was rendering something this morning and it was taking much longer than it should. I checked my CPU usage and it is only at 39% One of out the four cores is hardly being used at all. Any idea what would cause this? I'm running 9.6 on XP with a dual, dual core Xeons (4 cores).

I just went into the prefrences and changed CPU usage from Optimal to 4 and I'm back to 100%. Still don't understand why Optimal only gave me 39% when I had nothing else open except C4D.
