Thats my first work rendered with maxwell. Done during one afternoon. Rendertime was about 12 hours. Postproduction made via Photoshop.

I love the image, and I absolutly love the concept. I just have one quick question...How did you make the branches?

I made the branches during a looooong session with Maya Paint FX. Some of them where corrected by hand to get the look I wanted.

this is amazing dude, i love the lighting.

No. 12 hours because of an resolution of ca. 4500x2900. The grass is very simple: A grass-texture mapped on planes. I duplicated the planes more than 5000 times on a quadratic plane.
Next I rotated the planes by random and combined all of them to one object. Then I duplicated again to get the whole area, and combined then again.
After combining I was able to use the Soft-Modification-Tool to create these smooth in the background.
Thats all. You see, no Fur was needed to get that grass. And all with less than 100k polygons.

The lighting produces a very nice tint on the scene. Very nice image, I like it ! :thumbsup:

i love it great concept and everything looks amazing. I love the way you did the grass especially four stars in my opinion.
