Hello everybody.
As some of you may know I'm a graphic designer on my BA. My subject is 3d illustration. The pusrpose is to create a number of illustrations to be displayed on a book.

The plot
A man gets hit by a car. What I do is I describe the remaining 1 minute of his life. What is he thinking the last few seconds of his life. Is he satisfied by his life? Because the human mind on traumatic situations like that plays all sort of tricks he doesn't control all his memories or everything he sees. And that's why the images will be surrealistic and quite crowded. (This you will see on the other images. These images are quite straightforward.

Anyway here are the images.

This image is when the hero gets hit by a car. In this image you can't see him cause he's lying on the road. Everything you see is from the heros
eyes. Because he gradually looses his senses he can't hear well (the blurry text). The texts gets unreadable cause when it's completely unreadable he has completeley lost his senses. And that's when the journey to the unconcious begins.

The next image is near the end where he dies. His mind is totally f@cked up and he is visualising all sorts of crazy images. He is on an elevator and he gradually goes down to another place called hell....

The 3d aspect of the pictures is not very obvious but everything is built on a 3d package and composited on Photoshop. I have very few time in fact only 4 weeks to complete 20 images so the images you see will not chanmge so much. I have 18 more to do!!!

Hope you like them. All comments good and especially bad are welcomed.
Cheers!!

they look nice. The text might be just a bit too fuzzy, however it is still readable.

Very well done! Are you familiar with attik design? You probably are but I just wanted to mention it. Check them out if not. The pictures do a great job of what you are shooting for.

The only crit I have is the type in the top images shouldn't be so blurry.

The images overall are intriguing and of good quality. I'd like to see more as you finish em :)

Another image. It's a bar scene. Everybody looks like ghost because the character sees them as faceless feauturless people with no meaning for him

I like the text on the first image just the way it is. Don't change it, man. Its perfect.

Keep up the good work. I hope you can pump out all 20 in four weeks. 5 different images like that each will be tough.

Here is another image. His girlfriend has left him. So he is trying visually to remember her. The letters on the right are temporary. I'm not quite satisfied with the way they blend with the image and also don't have the correct text. (It's from a draft I made for my masters subject. Oh by the way I've been accepted by kent for a master. Next year i'll be in UK. Woohoo!! )

Anyway.....

Here's another image

It's near the end of the whole story when the mind of our hero gets really messed. The door symbolizes heaven. He can't access this door. It doesn't have any stairs and also its locked with all sort of locks. The only thing he has is endless stairs that lead downstairs....

The door was supposed to have a base that would be destroyed in small pieces to make more visible the inaccessibility of the door. But I need to move on to the other images. So if I have the time I'll go back and add it.

Anyway here is the image

2 more pictures.

This one symbolizes the heros childhood. We all remember our childhood as innocent years with purity on our hearts. That's exactly what I want to say with this picture. The hard shadows are the remindings of the heros age and the loss of innocence. Notice also the cubes that make the word death. It's sort of an reminding from the hero that he is dying. Also the clock on the right is an intervention of the heros mind that the time is flying.

The second image. I want to talk about the lack of communication on the heros life with other people. That why the other person is half solid half transparent

And another picture

It's the heroes eyes when he gets hit by the car. Notice at the right his figure flying on the air. The background texture is the road of course
