hi there..i may not get an answer to this but here it goes...When i export 3ds models that are broken up.(arm separate from torso...ect)..and import it in to different programs i get different results..like the model will be completely the same as it was in max but in other programs itll resize parts of the model and the peices will be way off in space from eachother..am i not freezing somthing or doing somthing wrong with grouping when i export my model???.. i am aware that some programs import 3ds differently..but i dont have this problem with single mesh objects..but i really need to use sparate mesh models for what im doing ..:wavey: :hmm:

hmmm I had your problem to ... make sure none of your models are reference parts ähmmm, what else ... thing ... no real grouping just leaving the models with their names

Single Mesh would just be best anyway but you cant do that you said

Good Luck

Sounds to me like a non-uniform scale problem.

When you export seperatly make sure all your cordinates are at 0 degrees and no grouping, grouping is bad---------very bad!

all cords. at 0 ..does that mean all the mesh peices sit on top of eachother? at 0 cus that would be counter productive

i believe he means the piviot points need to be at 0,0,0

many programs have diffrent scale. ie maya's object in max would be very tiny.
