Hi, would be grateful for help.

I've made an animation consisting of two people and one city. I want to render out the people in one layer and the city in another layer.
Now, I've put them both into their seperate render layers. All I need to know now is how do I get the people's shadow to appear on the city?

It would be very helpful if the people-layer could cast shadows on the city-layer without me having to render out the shadows seperately and composite it in AFX. I just want to keep it to two layers.

Any ideas? I tried some of the settings in the layer attributes but I feel like I'm missing something.

include the people in the city layer but make a layer override on their primary visibility

I thought of that too but I'm having problems getting it to work.
When I've added the people into the city layer. How can I make a layer override on that city layer that show's only the city with the peoples shadows?

Right now I have to remove primary visibility from each and every object one by one of the people. I guess that will work though although it's very inconvenient.
