Title: The coming of the King
Name: Seth Hill
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop
This is an illustration of Christ's return. It took roughly 8 hours spread over about 2 weeks. I tried to work much looser than I normally would. Tell me your thoughts! Any suggestions for working loosly in digital media? Please tell me how I can improve. I would appriciate any feedback!

A good start I'd say. Personally I'd add more fire, more smoke to the buildings in the background. Give a sense that the end of everything is reaching a crescendo. I might also eliminate the moon in the upper right corner, it kind of pops too much, I think that might be because the cloud edges there are really sharp. And yes more angels flying in would give it alot more movement.
I've been trying to work looser myself, my advice is try using a few custom brushes in photoshop, set up a brush with some texture and sharp edges, to give your marks a more palette knife or hard edge brushstroke.
Good sense of composition, reminds me of some of those illustrations by Dore. I think its the light rays that do it.
