View Full Version : How do I turn off "Constrain" in Scale?
BUZZFX 10-19-2007, 10:55 PM Using C4D R 10.
I created a plane object and I want to change the dimensions, but when I type a number in the scale settings it seems to be constraining when I want the width to be different than the height.
How do I fix this?
Thanks :)

Use the width and height settings in the attributes manager.
Cheers.

When you scale using the scale tool in model mode rather than object mode, or when you use the coordinates manager rather than the AM coordinates for an object then it will only scale parametric objects uniformly. Either use the width/height settings within the obejct as already suggested, or use the object mode, or edit the scale using the scale in the AM for the object itself (these last two will modify the objects matrix though), failing that make the object editable before attempting to scale (and scale using the model mode or the coordinates manager).
