I have a null I want parented to another object. Easy enough, eh? Well, I have a scene with hundreds of items in my object list.

Right now, I create a null and it appears at the top of my object palette and then I have to drag it down into my object hierarchy (which takes quite a bit of scrolling and searching to go through hundreds of objects).

Is there some way to cut and paste or create a null in my object's heirarchy and avoid all this scrolling?

In the preferences you can set how a new /pasted object should be inserted.
By default it is top of OM.
In addition to that you use Shift and/or Ctrl in combinations when creating new objects as well.

Excellent! I knew it had to be something simple! Thank you very much!
