imho, what you should really be looking for are dog reference images to model from. I dont' know if anybody ever wrote a tutorial on modeling a dog, thinking that you might need it some day !

Hi storaro. Yes there is a dog modelling tutorial. Its not done in Max, it's done in Softimage XSI by Roger Rosa, but you can easily complete the project in Max using this technique. I found this dog tut a year ago and remembered having the address hanging around. I hope this helps get you on your way. Check it out!
