Now make sure you guys report any problem files and such, its a public beta, simply pput, their is stil room for improvement in this awesome plugin, you guys actually have a chance to directly influence a tools, now thats cool. Great plugin, comes in handy when you have to model a car in 15 minutes or less :)

Nearly perfect!

Now, how about a "Round edges between surfaces" option?
That would be sooooooo sweet!!

:) I wouldn't quite say that, but it's certainly nice to have boolean tools that cut the way you expect them too.

So far, I love the "Boole Replacer" and "Create single object" features. Wonderful.

Anybody else think that BB should have an option to create HyperNurbs friendly meshes like this Power Booleans example below?

This would add a whole heck of a lot of power to BB. The current BB beta rocks. It'd still be nice to have this feature though. Just a thought.

No. Not really. That's a cube. That's a "give me".

Take a gander at the above example. Look at the way the quads eminate from the centers of each one of those cutout cylindrical holes.

Getting that exact type of result using booleans alone isn't quite possible. You can partially fake it (sort of), but not quite. Not using booleans alone especially.

Adam: can you post a wire too please?

LucentDreams
04-12-2003, 04:26 PM
true the wire won't be as clean, but it works thats all that matters probably has a smaller polycount too.

Actually it's a bit of a trick. I'm using lathe objects for the holes instead of simple cylinders--and no HN at all. The HN results would look similar with some weighting on the outer cube edges. More polys, of course.

good job, clean mesh for sure ;)

Thanks. Here's a pic using HN instead of the cube fillets:

That's exactly how I faked it too. :)
