View Full Version : Distorted after Switching Morph Target

Hi,

I've finished working on my model in ZBrush but when I tried switching morph target back to my original mesh, my completed model gets distorted in certain areas. ( refer to attached images )
The same thing also happens when I replace the original obj mesh. Seems to happen at areas with sharp corners, but I'm not really sure.

Anyone knows why & how I can fix this?

As I'm only generating Color & bumps maps and not displacement maps, I'll need the original mesh as the final geometry or the model will not look right.

Thanks,

EddieQ

The distortion is perfectly normal as the upper subdivision levels (2 and up) are trying to adapt to a new base mesh.

I am not sure why you are changing the base mesh and then changing to the highest subdivision level. Unless there are big differences between the sculpted base mesh and your original base mesh you only need the UVs of your original mesh to be able to paint color and bump maps.
