i think your looking for multi/sub-object texturing.....i m gonna have trouble explaining this in a couple of sentences if your new to MAX....goto your 3ds max user reference(help-user reference).........then click the contents tab......click the + Material Editor , Materials and maps.............. then + Materials.........then + compound materials...............then Multi/Sub-object.......i think this is the help file that will help you
......

cheers

No not really but i will have use of this too probobly. I ment more like that you unwrap the model and paint on it i youst dont know how 2. Like in Quake 3.

you can do this kind of thing with a few tools, I think Chilliskinner is one of the most powerful for game applications (have a look on www.scriptspot.com)

there is so many endless tutorials on this subject..... i assume you have google?

This (http://www.planetquake.com/skindom/tutorials/) is a good starting point.

Chilliskinner i have now. But how it works i dont got a clue. I want to unwrap it to a file where i see the wirefram and then pint in that file in PS and then put it on the model that is what i want to do.
