Hi guys,
I am planning to start developing a few small custom tools to use within Max and Maya - in C++ for Maya and .NET (C#) for Max.
I last loaded VS2005 about a year ago on another system, and I vaguely remember that once it was installed it slowed my system down (whether that was because it was running a lot of background services or not I don't know).
Is it a particularly bad idea to install VS2005 on a production workstation that is mainly used for modelling and animation? I realise the partition it is on has to have Max + Maya installed so one can test things out, but it seems overkill to have a specific "development" partition (given that I am a one man operation)...
...unless it really will slow down Windows on that system?
Thanks!
Martin
