Not long ago we wrapped on a series of spots for a Drive-In restaurant chain. I was asked to model and texture several different burgers, as well as some french fries, and a restaurant.

lovely render m8!i would agree it is a bit on the plasticy side but only very slightly!
the one thing i would point out is the lettuce,a tiny amount of transparency or sss would lift it!

Wow.. that looks great. Good job! Like was stated, a little more work to get the cheese less plastic-like and thin up the mayo and I think you would have a great final.
Great work! :D

Here is a shot of 1 of the burgers, a little shiny for my taste, but the art director wanted to go in that direction :)[/QUOTE]

+1 for the plastic aspect of some elements (usually, isn't mayonnaise more yellow ?), but it's a really nice work ! :)

Thanks everyone for the comments! I had 2.5 days to work on this burger, modeing was pretty straight forward, tweeking textures to meet art direction was a majority of the time. Mayo and cheese do have some SSS.....again time limited what we could do.
For anyone interested, here are a wire, and a grey render:

that's a fantasic model. I bet the research was hard going eh? :)
I can understand the shiny burger though - its that just fried/covered in oil look. Well done.

Flippin great modeling (as usual!). Now make a version showing how "typical" hamburgers look when served from fast food restaurants...slapped together in record setting time with half the stuff missing, etc..lol.
