View Full Version : FXWars: 17 - WaterBalloon
Diabolos 10-16-2007, 02:26 PM Here is my further attempt, still a lot of fine tuning on the settings - there seems to be some weird poly morphing at the end - lets see what I can do :P
**EDIT** Oops:
Model from lighting challenge
Model by: Jeremy Birn
Note: - I'll model my own, I just wanted to start on the simulation to see what happens.

Thank you.
I am currently trying to:
Update the arc of the balloon
Get the balloon to tear and spill out water
As soon as i add the tear nConstraint my balloon disappears though :(

Hey Diablolos, I noticed you were having some issues with your balloon popping, sounds like you're using nCloth and the tearable constraint, I found this video from a demo autodesk did a while back and used it for my balloon pop, you should check it out and maybe it'll help you out.

Thank you, the video is a huge help. Why can't these big companies make these video clear enough to see the UI or make a hi-res available for download???? It would only help them in the end to get their users up to speed.

Yeah I know what you mean, here's another link to some more specific things with nCloth, some more tear stuff plus wind and different constaints

hmmm, my balloon keeps disappearing as soon as I start the simulation. Maybe it's my geometry or normals - back to the drawing board.
