I came across a marvelous book by Gries/Panafieu, called "Evolution".

Its main goal is to show the interconnectedness of all species and it uses only one way to illustrate this: photos of skeletons.
Had I had left the 58€ I would have immediately shelved them out. The photography in it is strikingly beautiful and the similarities are quite dominant. It's the size of a medium sized photography volume, i.e., much larger than a normal book.

Hurrah! I saw this in the window of a London publishing house but the book was opened in the middle so I couldn't see the title or the author. Plus they'd closed for the day so I couldn't even sneak a peak. You've saved me about 2 hours of random searching on Amazon :o)
