Title: Angel of the Divine Wind
Name: Anthony Moy
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

This is my latest work called "Angel of the Divine Wind".

The Story:
At the cross roads of Heaven and Earth, where blows the Divine Wind, all must pass the gaze of Azrael. Angel of the Divine Wind. Angel of Life and Death. She is The Guardian, The Watcher, The Keeper ... The Avenging Angel. In one hand hand she carries the holy sword, "Avenger" ... the sword which purifies across planes of existence. In her other hand is Life, as fragile as a rose losing its petals in the Divine Wind.

I hope you enjoy it. Please send me crits and advice so that I can further improve my work.

Regards!

Andy210387 and Rudds:

Thanks for taking the time to look at my work and to provide your feedback. I really appreciate it.

I also noticed the head proportion thing, but I finally concluded for myself that it was due to the hair. My goal was to make the hair look like it was in motion, almost alive. One of the side products of doing so is that you get this "poofy", voluminous look. I may try a modification of the hair to something more streamlined in the future with this one.

It's funny that I got the Silver Surfer comment. Someone told me that offline as well. I hadn't set out to mimic the Silver Surfer. However, I am a fan of comics and can't say that the Silver Surfer didn't have a subliminal influence on my work. After all, we are all products of the sum of our experiences.

Regards!

wow... your chrome work for the suit is impressive !!

I like shinny stuf ! ... It's also nice to see you took the challenging side of fantasy imaging... too often do we see dark and not well light/shadowy images that can hide all the mistakes. You pulled it off admirably !!

I think for me it's not necessarily the size of the head that's wrong but rather the the legs / hips feel a bit out of proportion... if I look at the 3 thirds lenght (live drawing) trick for drawing women, the legs seem to fall a bit short. Hips (to my taste) are a bit narrow wich puts a more masculine ration between shoulders and hip.

I really like this pic... mood and atmosphere are brilliant ! (litterally) !!

my 2 cents ! :)
