I thought I might as well enter this for the srange behaviour challenge. Entering 2 weeks before the deadline is a bad idea, I haven't finished a cgtalk challenge since "Space Opera", but I'm working on this anyway. So like I said, I might just as well enter...
Here's my first sketch: fishes in bubble cars.

This is done in illustrator. I don't like it, it's way too boring.

Some mood tests. I am definitely not doing this composition and the concept needs some more spice.

Ah, this is better. 2 fishes falling in love while driving their bubble cars. I doubt if I ever finish this stuff. But like I said, you'll never know.

I used Illustrator for the basic shapes of the cars. I can use those as masks later in Photoshop. I'm painting the background in Photoshop.

This is it for tonight. I'm going to bed.

I had some time to kill inbetween 2 jobs at work today. Now that's a first one... So I did a sky for my bubble cars and some basic shadows.

A few more hours of doodling... That grass is just a placeholder at the moment. And so is the mud on the road.

Now, I don't know if you have already uploaded the final zip, but it would be good if you would add just a couple of bubbles in the cabins. Now it took me a while to see that there's water inside...

Just a thought.
