View Full Version : problem with rendering glass

I'd like to render some objects (with glass material). furthermore i need renderings without any background (so i'm rendering with alpha channel).

my problem is that there's always a horizontal line in the renderings. under the line, the glass looks alright (and the png-files have semi-transparent areas, as it should be). but above this line the glass doesn't get rendered (respectively it's nearly invisible).

does anybody know a reason for this problem?
what do i have to change so that my glass objects look alright and don't have this horizontal line in the material?

i'm using maya 8.5 and maya software renderer.
