I'm working on a little animation in my spare time and thought I'd start a thread to get some help. The animation is almost done, I'm working on the last shot now. I'll post the grey shaded tests tomorow I think to get critiques on that. For now here's a render test of what I think the final thing will look like. Does anything look bad, or do you have any suggestions on what can make it better? Just so you know, the camera is moving a bit in this shot which is why the grass looks a bit blurry in the foreground. I'd very much apreciate any thoughts you might have to make this better.

I'm using Lightwave 7.5 and Messiah 3.something. The grass is Sas light and the sheeps fuzz is Hypervoxels. The damn hypervoxels really slow down render times when the sheep gets close to the camera.

Thanks as always!

Thats only ONE SHEEP!!!!

If we saw the feet a bit more the floaty feeling would probably be less.
Like the texture on the sheep alot. Looks like burlap.
Have you seen any of Grant woods scenery? Just saw you hill's and recalled those.

Do you mean the sheep looks like it was pasted on to the picture, or that the foreground grass and sheep look seperate from the background hills? About the uniform look to the fur, that's what I was going for. The sheep was inspired somewhat on a stuffed animal so I was going for a real/fake look if that makes sence.

Goon those paintings are pretty cool. I'll stick them in my refrence folder.

There's only one sheep in this pic, but he's looking at the other one. When the animation is done I'll post that so you can see what's going on. Thanks for looking!

I think it looks pretty cute. The sheep looks like a stuffed toy, mainly cause of the visible pattern in the 'fur'. Also, I wonder if it wouldn't look even cuter if the eyes were bigger. Another than that, I'd like to see some test animations! cool stuff
