Hey Y'all,

The long and a arduos task of making a demoreel is nearing completion. Here's a few images of the upcoming reel... it's a FX/Composite/Lighting and texturing type of reel... everything but animation really.

Any comments would be appreciated. I will post moving stuff once I have enough footage...

Waow, those F-14's are nice! :thumbsup: (are you going to animate them?) Particularly the clouds & smoke looke really cool!

If I was to crit anything, I'd say the pilot lacks some detail 'n' realism, compared to the rest.

BTW, the sixth thumb links to a wrong picture... :shrug:

What the hell are those clouds, anyway? Stock pictures, plug-in clouds, or your own magic? They be cool! :cool:

Hey again,

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I'll have to relight and put some more textural detail in the pilot... he looks kinda , well ,bland.

The clouds are a mixture of stock footage, matte painting and CGI. I wanted to do compositing as well so I chose to use stock footage as much as I could.

THey are animated... just need to compile some quicktimes. Working on blowing up the Mig now... I though I'd post that one since that's more or less the money shot and needs to be sweet.

I fixed the broken links by moving the images here instead. Much better this way.

Looks like Top Gun 2! Perhaps the visor of the pilot could be a bit more reflective.

Excellent looking models, and the compositing is nicely done too! I think I agree with the above, my only crits would be on the pilot lookin a little too simple, ie lacking folds/wrinkles on the flight suit.

Other than that, its outstanding!
